About
F. Shawn Bagley
ATP, CFII
Shawn Bagley began flying with his father since before he can remember. Some of his earliest memories were flying with his father out of a field by his home. Seeing the versatility of aircraft, from bush-flying out of farm roads and fields, to traveling across the country in multi-engine business aircraft, to aerobatics and warbirds, Shawn was hooked into aviation at a very early age.
When he was almost 16 he began taking flight instruction in a Husky A-1A. After 15 hours of training he finally soloed the day after his sixteenth birthday. After earning his private pilots license he worked his way into the challenging high performance Cessna 180, then to a Super Decathlon. He had a number of opportunities before he turned nineteen to fly in other aircraft like the ACA Scout, Boeing Stearman, Cirrus SR-22, Cessna 210, and T-6 Texan. Shawn has now flown over 40 different make and model of aircraft. He is now working on sharing some of his experiences in flight by posting stories on this website.
